Kate Felix is an award winning author of poetry, screenplays, and short fiction. Several of her short screenplays have been produced in to films.
Her short and flash fiction have appeared in Litro Magazine, Room Magazine, Funny Pearls, Literary Taxidermy, Bath Flash Fiction Anthology, Pacific Review, Big Muddy, and Reflex Fiction (among others).
She was the 2019 winner of the Connor Poetry Prize, 2018 winner of the Wilda Herne Prize for Flash Fiction, was awarded second place in the 2018 Susan Tiberghien Prize for Creative Non-Fiction, and has been shortlisted for several writing prizes.
Her small daughter describes her as being “like a rainbow but with one of the stripes made from darkness”.
Kate lives in Toronto with her spouse and three children.
